Aims Of The Project

• The identification of potential benefits and problems of incorporating effects in to the guitar.
• The designing of a system to incorporate an effects unit or effects controller in to a guitar.
• Realisation of the final design.
• Evaluation of the finished artefact.

Plan Of Work

June-Sept.	Background research and preparation of project proposal carried out.
October	Background research begun during summer continued and design of the system and ordering of parts begins. Proposal refined ready for finalisation at the start of November.
November	Final design created and any remaining parts required will be ordered/purchased. Building of the artefact will start in Mid-November.
December	Building of the artefact should be completed by the end of the month.
January	Before returning from the Christmas break, the build section of the report will be written and preparation for the testing and evaluation of the completed guitar will begin. Test recordings (both audio and video) will be made to demonstrate the functionality of the working artefact. These recordings will be submitted with the final report.
February	Listening tests and interviews will be carried out in order to gain impartial evaluation of the product. Writing of the evaluation section of the report will begin at this time.
March	The report will be reviewed, revisions and alterations made and a conclusion written.
April	The final two weeks before submission on April 17th will consist of proof reading and finalisation of the report.
May-June	Preparation for the Viva-Voce in June will begin after submission of the final report.
